About Us
Via Choralis is a 40-voice auditioned community choir founded in 1999
by Elizabeth Shannon and directed since 2005 by Nicholas Fairbank. The choir performs
a wide repertoire ranging from Renaissance madrigals and choral classics to the finest
in contemporary works. Besides our own concerts, Via Choralis has also enjoyed working with
other choirs and performing groups located on the Saanich Peninsula.
Our first session of the season starts on Labour day. We rehearse Monday evenings starting at 7:30 pm at the
Saanichton Bible Fellowship Church, 2159 Mt Newton Cross Road, in Central Saanich.
